Tonight my friends took me to El-Korba Street where "Old Heliopolis" can be found (one of the most ancient Egyptian cities). The street was filled with people sitting around tables, chatting about. It was noisy and very crowded so we sat on a sidewalk, opposite most of the crowd. It was about 3 in the morning and it was such a sight to see so many people still out, socializing, at that time. The street was lit but it was difficult to see what beautiful architecture was hiding in the night sky. We sat, talked, and ate dessert while we watched the people around us. I could see a Dunkin Donuts further down and the sign was written in English and Arabic! I hadn't recalled seeing a business sign like this yet so I made sure to snap a photo. When we decided to finally head out, the sun was coming up. Most of the crowd had gone home and the noise had dwindled down to soft conversations and finally, I could enjoy the beautiful architecture that surrounded us.
